Epic Games has released Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4 and this may very well be the game’s most ambitious update yet. 🗺️ MAJOR MAP CHANGES: THE MULTIVERSAL RIFT IS CHANGING THE LANDSCAPE
The island itself has been ripped apart by multiversal rifts, which lay the groundwork for the appearance of areas we’re seeing for the first time. Key changes include:
Crimson Sanctum: A gothic stronghold that stands where the Citadel once did — now occupied by Scarlet Witch.
Starlight Ruins The floating temple is teleported in through the rift near Mega City.
Collapsed Reality Zone: A glitchy section of the map where gravity and physics can turn against you — combat here looks like you’re living inside an MCU movie.
Every new zone sports its own climate, interactive objects, and easter eggs for Marvelophiles.

And this season will bring a bunch of new — and returning — weapons:
🌀 Reality-Shatter Rifle: A high-range firing beam weapon dropped from bosses.
🛡️ Mystic Deflector: This buildable shield bubble deflects bullets and explosives.
💣 Quantum Grenades: Explosives that can rewind time by 5 seconds upon explosion.
Weapon tuning has seen changes as well. Epic Games listened to the competitive backlash and has modified the shotgun and SMG meta to encourage healthier CQC engagements.
🎟️ Battle Pass & Customization.
The Chapter 5, Season 4 Battle Pass features more than 100 tiers of rewards with Marvel cosmetics, V-Bucks, emotes, back blings and gliders. Of course, the tier 100 reward is a multiversal variant of Iron Man, who will come with a reactive armor set that changes as you play a match.
Players can also customize pickaxe sounds and animation styles — a first in the franchise.
